In the eighteenth edition of Miss South India organised at Luxotica Convention Centre in Kannur, Aiswarya S, from Kerala, has become the title winner.
Meanwhile, Vidhya Vijayakumar (Kerala) has been awarded the first runner up title, and Shivani Rai (Karnataka) has been felicitated with the second runner up title.
The title winner has been crowned by former Miss South India winner Nikitha Thomas. At the same time, the first and second runner ups have crowned actress Ambika and actress Abhiramy respectively.
The certificates and other awards for the winners have been presented by Manappuram Finance Limited General Manager and Chief PRO Sanoj Herbert.
A huge prize worth at least one lakh and fifty thousand Indian Rupees and a diamond ring contributed by Kirtilals have been gifted to the title winner. The first and second runner ups have received seventy five thousand Indian Rupees and fifty thousand Indian Rupees respectively.
Miss South India is the first step towards popular International beauty contest Miss Asia.
Manappuram Finance Limited is the prime partner of the event, in which at least 23 beauties from all the five major South Indian states have participated. Mahindra, DQ Watches, Saj Earth Resorts and SajaaS Designer Boutique are the main powered by partners of the event.
The event has been conducted in association with Rotary Club Kannur.
The contestants have been judged by a team of experienced people possess years of experience in the fashion and entertainment sector.
Apart from the main titles, the team has also selected several subtitle and regional title winners.

The grooming sessions of the beauty contest, which is broadly divided into at least three major rounds such as the designer saree round, red cocktail round and the black gown round, commenced on 14th January 2020 in Kochi. The sessions in yoga, meditation, personality development, beauty care, catwalk, photoshoot and talent search has bestowed the contestants with renewed confidence. Notably, the sessions were handled by experts in the field of fashion.
The contestants for the Miss South India 2020, like always, were selected through a transparent audition process. The audition sessions were conducted in at least five major cities across South India such as Kochi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Sara Damnjanovic, from Serbia, has been selected for the Miss Asia Global title – the title awarded to the winner from the Asian region – and Nguyen Thi Yen Trang (Vietnam) the Miss Asia title – the title awarded to the winner from the rest of the world – in the fifth edition of Mahindra And Manappuram Miss Asia Global, organised in Gokulam Convention Centre, Kochi.
The chief guest of the event has been YB Yeoh Soon Hin, the tourism minister of Penang, Malaysia.
Ms. Nguyen, the Miss Asia 2019, has been crowned by Honey Tianmia, who is the Miss Asia 2017. Ms. Sara, the Miss Asia Global 2019, has been felicitated by Assem Yessengeldiyeva, who is the Miss Asia Global 2018.
Leeseul Kim (Korea) and Jeanfer Ozbot (Philippines) have been awarded the Miss Asia Global first and Miss Asia Global second runner up titles respectively. The first runner up has been crowned by V P Nandakumar, the MD and CEO of Manappuram Finance Ltd, and the second runner up by Suresh Kumar E S, the Regional Sales Manager of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Mahindra and Manappuram Finance are the main partners of the event, in which around 24 beauties from around the world have contested. And, DQ watches, Sera, SAJ Earth Resorts and T Shine are the powered by partners.
The grooming session of the program commenced on 25th October at Saj Earth Resort, Ernakulam. It was handled by eminent personalities from the modelling and fashion sector.
The national costume round, black cocktail round and the white gown round have been the three main rounds in the program.
The judging panel of the event has been led by certain acclaimed personalities from the beauty and fashion sectors, such as Christine Huang, Hari Anand, Alice Lee Chan, Rajeev Pillai and Rita Martin.
The winners have been crowned with the golden crowns designed by Parakkat Jewellers.
Dr. Ajit Ravi, the Founder Chairman of the Miss Asia Global, said that the event was conducted to showcase the rich culture of the country and to promote its tourism sector.

Ms. Tanya Sinha from Jharkhand Crowned Manappuram Miss Queen Of India 2019
Ms. Tanya Sinha , from Jharkhand was selected today as Manappuram Miss Queen Of India 2019 presented by Manappuram Finance Ltd, an event organised by Pegasus, at Saj Earth Resorts and Convention Centre Kochi.
Ms. Nikita Thomas from Kerala and Ms. Samiksha Singh from Delhi were the first and second runners up respectively. Mr. Tom Jose, Chief Secretary, Kerala State crowned the winner Miss Queen Of India 2019. Mr. V P Nandakumar, MD & CEO of Manappuram Finance Ltd crowned the first and second runner up winners.

In this event, twenty beautiful ladies from different Indian states competed for the title. The VPN IBE Women Entrepreneur Award was also given at the venue, for 6 successful women entrepreneurs. The VPN International Business Excellence award is an International award to honor the business persons in their respective fields, irrespective of small, medium, or corporate.
The Award winners were Mrs. Annamma Joseph Kottukapally (Professional Excellency Award in Culinary Innovation for the year 2019), Anne Sajeev (Maverick Woman Entrepreneur Award for the year 2019), Dr. Nilufer Sheriff (Professional Excellency Award in Health Care), Liza Mayan (Dynamic Woman Entrepreneur Award for the year 2019), Roopa George (Women Excellency Award in Social and Welfare for the year) and Saroja Thambi Chamundi (Professional Excellency Award in Medical Tourism for the year 2019).

With the crown on her head, Rachel Leigh Stacy, from USA stood before the
audience today as Glam World 2019 presented by Manappuram Finance Ltd
and Mahindra, an event organised by Pegasus, at Gokulam Convention Centre,
Kochi.
Ms. Reshma RK Nambiar from India and Ms. Daria Shapovalova from
Tatarstan were the first and second runners up respectively. Previous year
winner Ms. Estefania Chavez Garcia crowned the overwhelmed Miss Glam
World 2019 winner. Mr. V P Nandakumar, MD & CEO of Manappuram

Miss South India 2019
With the crown on her head, Nikita Thomas, from Kerala stood before the
audience today as Miss South India 2019 in the seventeenth edition presented
